Overview

Objective

Design an ECG device with a PCB, housing unit, and user interface that can visualize heart rate

Process

Created an ECG circuit with an instrumentation amplifier, virtual ground, high pass filter, and low pass filter with Fusion 360

Evaluated the performance of the circuit with a dynamic signal analyzer and bode analyzer

Designed a CAD model of a case that would contain the ECG circuit as a PCB, 9V batteries, and ports for electrodes

Implemented an online user interface that will output the electrode signals using LabView

Result

Through online testing, the circuit was able to filter and amplify the ECG signal

Heart rate was successfully visualized with the online user interface which included a power button, a pause button, a beats-per-minute counter
